Where everyday is a good day for board games!

The Podcast

Our Podcast began in March of 2020, when a world-wide event changed the world. Still wanting to be an active part of the board game industry, I created a Twitch Streaming channel and began streaming content about board games daily. Shortly after, I reached out to a long time friend (Also named Daniel) and introduced the idea of us creating a podcast together. He agreed and we have been filming episodes almost weekly since then.

Our Gamer Criteria

We created this "GAMER" criteria to remove our bias when debating and reviewing games. We use this Criteria as the foundation for most of our content. Here is the Criteria with their sub-criteria:

Game Immersion: Is the game fun to lose? / Table talk or roleplaying / Memorable moments
Art and Production: The Art / Pieces and component quality / Graphic design and layout
Meaningful Choice: Impact on other plays strategy / Depth of Strategy , tactics, or skill / Avoids arbitrary choices and AP
Ease of Play: Simplicity and Familiarity of the mechanisms / Likelihood to get to the table / easy to learn, understand and/or teach
Replay Value: Length of time and scaling per player / Minimum number of plays for full experience / Expandability

Segments

We have created a number different segments over the past years, but we have four primary segments on a rotating schedule. Each of these types of Episodes also have a minor segment which run prior to the main topic (Such as: What we've been playing, honorable mentions, outside of gaming, and gaming news.) Top 8 Debate

In these Episodes, we debate the top 8 games ranked on Boardgamegeek in a sports-style bracket based on a theme, mechanism, or other topic.

Chits and Giggles:

These are our discussion episodes , normally providing the viewers and listeners a thought-provoking discussion about board game related topics.

Board Game Breakdown:

In our Breakdown Episodes, we take a look at the entire game-ography from a publisher, designer, etc. These episodes will often feature interviews with special guests. We also do compare and contrast episodes between similar referenced games

Board Game Brainstorm:

In these episodes, we like to use these opportunities to give our recommendations for modern classic games and other games players would love given our GAMER criteria.

Ascended games

After years of running the podcast, we noticed a trend of games winning various Top 8 Debate episodes. So why not recognize them for their accomplishments. At the end of each season, we run a Top 8 Debate: Champions edition. We take all of the previous season's winners and debate them to become a T8D Champion! These games ascend the ranks and will no longer be debated in the future, because they are already champions. The 4 prestigious Champions are:

We also have a line of special episodes and all forms of content that is available. This includes Game reviews, which are the LEAST BIASED board game reviewed which you will find on the internet! We also create periodic game shows which are help in off weeks as well, and finally we have done a few full play through videos, including the time we played 20 games from Phil Walker-Harding.
